I just found the best flavored non-fat, fat-free yogurt EVER (edging out Brown Cow’s fat free Vanilla for top place in me books). It’s at Trader Joe’s, and it’s greek style. It’s like their 0% Face yogurt (plain fat free greek style), but flavored. It’s thick and simply amazing – you have to try it. Comes in Honey, Blueberry, and Pomegranate in the individual size cups – 120 calories each (not bad!).
The Blueberry is my favorite, but only by a bit — all three flavors are delicious. The Honey is particularly great with stuff mixed in (like granola and/or berries). God bless Trader Joes (again!) — now just don’t go discontinuing this fabulous yogurt!

Keep in mind this yogurt has about twice the amount of cholesterol you will find in a typical nonfat yogurt. That smooth taste is extra cholesterol.
No, there is very little cholesterol in this yogurt:

yep Jen- you are right- there is very little cholesterol! I posted about it back in April when it first came out.

It only has 10 mg per serving which is tiny!
While it is higher in sugar, Chobani yogurt ($1-1.39) is typically cheaper than even Trader Joes ( $1.69) AND just a tip- Oikos Organic Greek is actually on sale almost everywhere here for $1 each!!! Stock up- I also got coupons at the register upon checkout- so def. keep that in mind!
Yep – this post is actually about their older greek style yogurt (posted in Nov 2007), but their new yogurts are great too and pretty much the same as far as i can tell – just the different flavors and container shapes
(between posting in 07 and now I’ve become more lactose intolerant and rarely indulge in the yogurt anymore — so sad!)
Jen – I thought yogurt didn’t contain lactose?
I watched a Food Network show called “Good Eats,” and they had an episode about yogurt… one of the main things I remember was that he said yogurt doesn’t contain the lactose, because the bacterial cultures in yogurt EAT the lactose!
Of course, you would know better than me, though, if you are the one who’s lactose intolerant.
PS. I just found your blog because I was eating TJ’s honey greek yogurt for the first time and loooving it!
